2/5/2023 – Belgorod Dnestrovsky: He certainly cares for me

From Lyuda (Day 347): Dear brothers and sisters, Every day is special because every day we learn something new and do something different. Yesterday morning I was watching the sparrows at the bird feeder. They were so joyful and happy, with no worries about tomorrow. And the thought of God caring of sparrows inspired my day. He certainly cares of me.

Sergey had a Zoom meeting with the pastors from other cities yesterday morning. They exchanged news and prayed for each other. It’s so encouraging to know that the churches in Kherson and Nikolayev united their efforts and worship and do ministry together. They carry on with their ministries in spite of shelling and bombing that happen constantly. All our churches help people of the community with food, work with refugees, help soldiers. And churches in Kherson and Nikolayev in addition to this help people with plywood to close the broken windows and with other construction materials to repair roofs and walls of their damaged buildings.

We had a good meeting of our refugee group yesterday. We talked about a colorful world that God created, about colors that surround us and how they can influence our mood. We also talked about rainbow as a sign of promise that God gave to Noah.

Then we were doing a craft, a nice picture of rainbow of the pieces of colored paper. My dear sister from our church Sveta Lukoshkina prepared the material and helped to do the crafts. It was fun, everybody enjoyed this activity.

As usual some people stayed longer and we talked. Svetlana, whose husband Sergey has cancer told that he agreed to have treatment and is doing better emotionally.

The old lady Valentina who came for the first time yesterday thanked for the time she spent with other people because she feels very lonely.

Vladimir who is blind could not do crafts but he liked the atmosphere of creativity. People next to him described what they were doing.

Thank you for praying for these people. God is doing wonderful work in them.

In Christ,
Lyuda

  1. Dear Lyuda,
    Thank you for the pictures.
Thank you for telling us what the Lord is doing and how He is showing you parts of what what He is doing-
-both in the refugee group, with discussions & crafts, and even with sparrows.

“Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers over a multitude of sins.”

I would love to hear Sergy preach ( but I don’t understand Ukrainian. And i need English translation)

    Your sister in Christ,
    Praying and United in Him,
