From Lyuda Betina (Day 364): Dear brothers and sisters, It’s nice to wake up in a quiet and calm morning and though the information in a local messenger warns about cut offs of water and electricity today we do not worry because we got used to it. The situation in our town is better than in Odessa, where they have cuts off every day.
Yesterday we said good bye to Paul, our youth leader and our brave soldiers, Sergey visited his family in the evening and prayed with them. Today Paul is traveling to the position of his detachment. May God protect him.

Everybody talked yesterday with joy about the visit of President Biden. For people of Ukraine it was a nice demonstration of support and help. As our refuges gathered for breakfast in the café they talked about it, too.

A new family came and they were glad to know about the group meetings on Saturday. People want communication. One woman that joined us last week came with a notebook. She wanted to share with her neighbors about the meaning of the colors of the beads of the bracelet that we made of Saturday but she did not remember all the message. I told her that simple plan of the gospel and she wrote it down.

Tanya and I spent more than hour with mother and teenage daughter that also joined us last week. Natasha, the mother, told that her daughter, Alina, who is 17, became very closed she is quiet most of the time. She complains of nightmares and has a lot of fears. And what scares her the most is that her daughter sometimes doesn’t recognize her and asks “Who are you?”. Tanya spent some time with Alina separately while I was talking to Natasha.

Tanya asked the girl to draw her dreams she has at nights and asked her questions while she was drawing. There were moments when her empty gaze became conscious and she started to talk but then she became silent and disinterested again. Then we introduced Alina to our youth that were sitting nearby and they invited her to sit with them. She did not talk but was listening to their talks. We made an appointment for this girl to see a psychiatrist at our Christian medical clinic and then we will decide how to continue working with her.
Please, pray for our work and for the people we work with.
In Christ,
Lyuda
P.S There are photos of Tanya working with Alina and the photos of our refugees during the breakfast in the café.

Dear Lyuda,
May God be with Paul and give him great protection!
Praying for all the people God brings your way, may God give you all much wisdom.
Hopefully, one day soon we will have the freedom to visit this cafe and enjoy talking and praying with people there!
Love in Christ,
Jill

Counselors, encourage soldiers and civilians to remember David, a soldier and fugitive whose Psalms often cried to God for help, ending in renewed assurance that his King would hear and deliver him.
