2/22/2023 – Destabilization of Moldova

Today’s picture gives me chills. Fields of sunflowers remained unharvested in Bakhmut. Let us pray they grow an abundant crop this year. Photo by Marko Djurica for Reuters

From Ira Kapitonova in Kyiv (Day 363):

Because your steadfast love is better than life,
my lips will praise you.
Psalm 63:3

According to a recent poll, 95% of respondents believe in Ukraine’s victory. We were convinced of this even last spring, but I guess we all long to know when this victory will come.

Today, Russian troops shelled a public transport stop in Kherson. 16 people were injured, and 5 died. My heart breaks for the people of Kherson who lived through occupation and now endure daily shelling. In fact, my heart breaks for the people in the Sumy, Chernihiv, and Kharkiv regions who are in similar situations. How much longer, Lord?

Many schools are switching to online format for the rest of the week for the fear of Russian provocations or upcoming attacks. Please, pray for our children – this kind of stress doesn’t go unnoticed even if they don’t show it.

Please, keep praying for Moldova. Ukraine’s intelligence reported Russia’s updated plans to destabilize Moldova. The Prime Minister of Moldova, Dorin Rechan, confirmed that Russia has plans to seize the airport in Chisinau to transfer troops to Moldova. May all enemy plans fail.

Please, keep praying for our troops. May the Lord cover them from the enemy weapons and lead them to victory.

  1. Our Father in heaven,
    Deliver us from evil.
Give us today our daily bread.
    Lead us not into temptation.
Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.
    Hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven
For Thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory

  3. Counselors, encourage soldiers and civilians to remember David, a soldier and fugitive whose Psalms often cried to God for help, ending in renewed assurance that his King would hear and deliver him.
