4/1/2023 – Don’t pray for peace; pray for Ukraine’s Victory

From Maia Mikhaluk in Kyiv (400th day of ruzzzian invazion): A year ago at this time important battles took place around Kyiv and ruzzzian plan for a 10 day blitzkrieg were completely ruined. Elite ruzzzian troops were destroyed and years of putin’s preparation for a take-over of the capital of Ukraine and overthrowing our government failed.

I read today an extensive article that combined a lot of information about what ruzzzians were hoping to accomplish and how things turned out in reality. The heroism, determination, and courage of Ukrainians were the decisive factors that allowed us to overcome a much stronger and more equipped enemy. Ruzzian invazion plan was counting on the passive, fearful, and complacent population (that would not care if we lived under the Ukrainian or ruzzian government) and the unmotivated and cowardly Ukrainian army. Maybe they were measuring us by their own standards.

The article also reminded of horrible crimes that ruzzzians were committing in occupied territories of suburbs of Kyiv. No doubt if ruzzzians succeeded that would also be happening in Kyiv. The detailed plans for killing and imprisoning leaders in all spheres of Ukrainian society, establishing filtration camps and mass deportations are hair-raising and seem to be something from the pages of the World War II books. They were prepared to be ruthless with any resistance to invasion and we see that they did act according to that plan.

It’s only in Trump’s fantasies that this kind of war can be ended in 24 hours by appeasing the aggressor and giving him supposedly desired ruzzzian-speaking territories. Putin wants the whole of Ukraine and he wants our land without us, Ukrainians, on it. Don’t be fooled into believing that ruzzzian speakers want to become ruzzzian citizens. Look at Mariupol, other cities and villages in the east and south of Ukraine that used to be ruzzzian speaking, yet they put up brave resistance to invazion and ruzzian “liberators” “liberate” them from homes and lives by leveling those cities and villages to the ground, torturing and killing people.

I said this many times already when asking people to pray for Ukraine: Don’t pray for peace; pray for Ukraine’s Victory. Peace can come in two ways: we win and liberate our land or ruzzia wins and there will be no Ukraine and no Ukrainians.
