From Euromaiden Press: 28-year-old Alen, callsign Promin (Ray) shot down Russian Su-24 in the head while it was maneuvering. Before that, he had studied the trajectories and routes of Russian planes, and he and his unit waited until they had a chance to shoot them down.
“In the unit, everyone says ‘you’re a hero,’ but I reply that it’s our accomplishment, not just mine.
I already feel our victory. After the war, I will continue to lift up my country, but not in the army anymore. I can’t see how my child grows up, and I want to be with my family. I miss them. I will try to open my own business. I won’t say what it is so as not to jinx it,” Alen told Reporters.
