Yesterday I shared photos of our church celebrating Easter. Let me show in this post couple other churches.

Kyiv Pechersk Lavra is in the heart of Kyiv. It’s an Orthodox monastery that was founded in 1051 about a century before Moscow emerged from swamp lands in 1147. Yesterday for the first time in 300 years Easter service in Kyiv Pechersk Lavra was conducted in Ukrainian language! This one of the largest Christian centers in Ukraine and historic architectural complex was under ruzzian occupation for too long! Finally, it is being freed like the other parts of Ukraine occupied by invaders are being liberated.

Another set of pictures is from Lukashivka village in the Chernihiv region. We visited this village many times from spring to fall last year and we distributed humanitarian aid near this ruined church. Yesterday there was an Easter service there. God is there with people in the midst of ruins of their church just as He is there within the ancient walls of Kyiv Pechersk Lavra. But He is also in the trenches with our defenders and He is comforting those who have lost their loved ones and homes during ruzzian shelling in Sloviansk on the eve of Easter.

The war on earth still continues, but the victorious outcome is already declared. He is risen! Ukraine will rise too!
