From Maia Mikhaluk in Kyiv (461st day): The last 10 days have been short on sleep because of humanitarian aid trips and almost nightly missile and drone attacks that followed us on trips and at home. I used to feel effects of sleep deprivation mostly during my many travels around the world that resulted in jet lag. You might know that feeling – slight nausea, head feeling foggy, “sand” in your eyes. At least with jet lag you know you are “paying” for some special wonderful experience of seeing more of the beautiful world. The current “jet lag” feeling is the result of maniacal attempts of our neighbor to harass and destroy our cities by massive attacks every night for many hours.

Our Lviv team that spent 3 days in Izum, Kharkiv region distributing food, supplies and kids’s shoes. During one of the nights in the area there was one of the most intense Grad shelling. Our pastor from Avdiivka church shared photos of his destroyed apartment and half ruined building where the church used to be in the city that doesn’t exist anymore.
The enemy keeps attempting to destroy more – throwing it’s dirty “toys” of death all around regions of our country. There is no safe place anywhere. Ukrainians are tired but not discouraged. We know what we are standing for, what we are fighting for. The Victory will be ours. We will rebuild and heal and catch up on lost sleep.
