From Ira Kapitonova in Kyiv (Day 487):
In just a little while, the wicked will be no more;
though you look carefully at his place, he will not be there.
But the meek shall inherit the land
and delight themselves in abundant peace.
Psalm 37:10-11
We desperately hold onto God’s promises like the ones in Psalm 37. And we pray that He will not delay and bring deliverance soon.
According to our intelligence services, Russia has completed preparation for the nuclear disaster at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. They have mined 4 out of 6 power blocks and the cooling block and brought additional explosives to the premises. The head of our intelligence service said they expect Russia to cause a nuclear disaster if the Russian army is kicked out of the left bank of the Dnipro River – this way, an exclusion zone will have to be established around the NPP, and it will help Russia secure its presence in the currently occupied territories. They may also attempt the nuclear disaster as a prevention mechanism to further terrorize the world.
A year ago, I would say they were sensible enough not to do it, but after they blew up the Kakhovka dam, I have no doubts that they are capable of doing it. They have been bringing death and devastation, so why expect anything different this time? But we pray for God’s mercy and deliverance.
Another distressing report came from the occupied Berdiansk. The occupational authorities killed two 16-year-old boys supposedly involved in anti-Russian activity there. Even several months ago, these boys had been abducted, detained, tortured, and threatened for their supposed preparation to sabotage the local railroad. They say one of the boys loved history, so he lectured the invaders on history subjects while in detention. They were released at the time, yet the occupational authorities did not allow them to leave the region. According to the latest report from the occupied territories (which means it cannot be verified), these 16-year-olds attacked and killed two invaders and were killed in turn. However, the relatives of these young men doubt the reliability of such claims and think it all was a cover-up for the murder since the boys had been persecuted before.
I am confused and heartbroken at this news. May the Lord establish His justice soon!
