In the most recent interview with the Washington Post, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said that sometimes it feels like some people are watching the war in Ukraine like a reality show, making comments and placing bets. One of the very real threats is a nuclear disaster at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. Russia has been evacuating occupational authorities from the area, and today their propagandists said Ukraine is planning a terrorist attack there. They often reveal their plans by blaming Ukraine for something they intend to do. They know the Ukrainian counteroffensive will make them leave the occupied territories, mainly because the frontline is too long for their logistics. That’s why they blew up the Kakhovka dam — to stop Ukraine’s offensive there and win some time. And that’s what they might do with the Zaporizhzhia NPP if they feel threatened. Nuclear terrorism is Russia’s traditional last resort.

Please, pray for God’s intervention. Pray for the world leaders not to be bystanders but send an unambiguous signal to Moscow that such things will not be tolerated. Pray for this madness to stop.
Ukraine’s land is already too scarred by the war. Our territory is heavily mined. The south of Ukraine is left without a water supply and with crippled agriculture and economics. Our east is pretty much wiped out and leveled to the ground. Can we afford a nuclear disaster, leaving three regions uninhabitable? Lord, have mercy!
