From Ira Kapitonova in Kyiv (Day 496):
God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way,
though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea,
though its waters roar and foam,
though the mountains tremble at its swelling.
Psalm 46:1-3
Our intelligence services remind us that Russia is planning a terrorist attack on the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. This time, the Russian troops have placed objects resembling explosives on the roof of several power units of the Zaporizhzhia NPP (in addition to the previously installed mines and explosives). Perhaps the explosions will not damage the nuclear reactor, but Russia aims to simulate Ukraine’s attack on the plant and terrorize the world.
Russian propagandists say everything should happen on the night of July 5.
I kept wondering what I could write in today’s post because of such news, but God spoke to me through Psalm 46, so I will trust Him to be God and will choose trust over fear.
Oh, and happy 4th of July to my American friends!
