8/24/2023 – Today, National Ukrainian Flag Day

From Ira Kapitonova near Kyiv (Day 546):

Sing to the Lord, bless his name;
tell of his salvation from day to day.
Declare his glory among the nations,
his marvelous works among all the peoples!
Psalm 96:2‭-‬3

There were many interesting reports today, but I will mention one that has been confirmed.

Ukraine’s special services organized a special operation where a Russian pilot brought his helicopter to the Ukrainian airfield. The preparation took about six months, and the pilot’s family had evacuated from Russia to a safe location. The helicopter was also carrying spare parts to fix some aircraft, so all the cases with spare parts were delivered to Ukraine. It’s an amazing operation.

It’s the National Ukrainian Flag Day today. Today, a Russian kamikaze drone hit a school in the Sumy region. With the new school year being mere days away, the administrative staff and a librarian were in the building and were killed on the spot. When I saw the picture of a destroyed building with the flag still intact, I thought it was highly symbolic.
