9/4/2023 – The war is still ongoing and still ugly…

Today’s picture — people hug next to an unexploded missile that’s stuck in the street of Kramatorsk— photo by Kostiantyn and Vlada Liberov.

From Ira Kapitonova in Kyiv (Day 557):

Oh give thanks to the Lord,
for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!
Let the redeemed of the Lord say so,
whom he has redeemed from trouble and gathered in from the lands,
from the east and from the west,
from the north and from the south.
Psalm 107:1‭-‬3

When the Russian missiles don’t come anywhere close to you, it is easy to imagine or believe that the war is distant or even nonexistent, but this illusion may cost you greatly.

Last night, 25 kamikaze drones attacked the Danube port infrastructure in the Odesa region. Even though our air-defense forces shot down 22 of them, the damage is still significant.

The day before, they attacked Kramatorsk, and the missiles damaged residential buildings and a cemetery.

In the last 24 hours, Russian troops shelled the Chernihiv, Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Mykolaiv, Odesa, and Kherson regions. At least 4 citizens were killed. 17 more people were injured.

Yes, the war is still ongoing and still ugly.
