9/14/2023 – Is it still just a “Ukrainian conflict”? Meanwhile, Russia will only keep pushing the boundaries.

From Ira Kapitonova in Kyiv (Day 567):

Praise the Lord, all nations!
Extol him, all peoples!
For great is his steadfast love toward us,
and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever.
Praise the Lord!
Psalm 117:1‭-‬2

Last night, Russia once again attacked Ukraine’s port infrastructure and grain storage. They launched 44(!) kamikaze drones. Our air defense shot down 32 of them. Since Russia terminated the grain agreement, they have destroyed 300,000 tons of Ukrainian grain. Just to give you an idea of the scale, it would be enough to feed all of China for 3 years or all of the USA for 10 years! What a cruelty!

Since most grain export occurs on the Danube River, it has become the primary target. The kamikaze drones are not overly precise, and given the proximity to the border, Romania has been discovering fragments of Russian drones. It’s not the first time it has happened. The Romanian authorities even encouraged the people living along the border with Ukraine to take shelter during the drone attacks. Is it still just a “Ukrainian conflict”? Meanwhile, Russia will only keep pushing the boundaries.

Yet we will stand firm in the Lord. We’ve seen a fantastic answer to prayers as the Ukrainian military successfully heavily damaged a Russian submarine and warship in the pre-dawn barrage on the Sevastopol shipyard. The submarine was a Kalibr missile carrier, which means our skies have become slightly safer. We will keep trusting the Lord, and I believe it is His will to grant us victory!
