9/17/2023 – What an incredible story of God’s grace and mercy!

From Ira Kapitonova in Kyiv (Day 570):

In my distress I called to the Lord, and he answered me.
Psalm 120:1

A couple of days ago, Ukrainian troops liberated Andriivka, a small village near Bakhmut. It was so utterly destroyed that there was no place to set up a Ukrainian flag. Everything was leveled with the ground.

But even in this devastated place, there was room for a miracle from God. KyivPost shared an incredible story of the 3rd Separate Assault Infantry Brigade at the forefront of the events.

The video posted by the 3rd Separate Assault Infantry Brigade shows Ukrainian troops clearing Russian positions in the now-destroyed village near Bakhmut. Three Russian soldiers surrender and are made to lie on the ground while they’re tied up. At the same time, the enemy, realizing that the village is lost and his soldiers are surrendering en masse, orders to open ‘fire on their own.’ An artillery round explodes right over these soldiers. As the smoke clears, you see that all Ukrainian troops survived; one captive Russian is killed, and two others are taken to safety.

What an incredible story of God’s grace and mercy!
