From Ira Kapitonova in Kyiv (Day 587):
How shall we sing the Lord’s song in a foreign land?
Psalm 137:4
When I saw this photo, I knew I had to share it.
The man in the picture is a Ukrainian soldier, a world champion in kickboxing, who lost his leg fighting the Russians. He is now getting ready for a trip to the USA with Revived Soldiers Ukraine, where he will get a bionic and sports prosthesis. The boy in the picture is eager to help the soldier because his father had lost both legs, yet keeps living his life to the fullest.
The picture was taken last weekend during the Kyiv Unbroken Marathon, which included a special race for the veterans and soldiers undergoing rehabilitation.
How can you give up when you see such resilience?
