Deliver me, O Lord, from evil men;
preserve me from violent men,
who plan evil things in their heart and stir up wars continually.
Psalm 140:1-2
Another cruel attack this morning. Missiles hitting residential buildings in Kharkiv. Over 30 people were injured and two killed — a 10-year-old boy and his grandmother. When the rescue team found the boy’s body, it was covered with a blanket — the kid was sleeping in his bed when the missiles came.
With every news report like this, pain burns out a portion of your heart.
I know that the Lord will maintain the cause of the afflicted,
and will execute justice for the needy.
Surely the righteous shall give thanks to your name;
the upright shall dwell in your presence.
