From Ira Kapitonova in Kyiv (Day 595):

‭‭One generation shall commend your works to another,
and shall declare your mighty acts.
On the glorious splendor of your majesty,
and on your wondrous works, I will meditate.
Psalm‬ ‭145:4‭-‬5‬

Every time I read these lines, I am encouraged to look forward to the days when the war will be over, but generation after generation, we will be remembering the mighty acts of the Lord.

In the meantime, we desperately grasp onto the Lord as more and more evil surrounds us. Remember the village where the Russian missile killed everyone attending a memorial service? Well, the investigators have found likely suspects who set up everything for this tragedy. Two brothers from among the residents, who held positions in the occupational bodies of authority (during 5 months of occupation in 2022), tortured the locals and ran away when the region was liberated. I want to refuse to believe things like that can be possible because it would make this world a horrible place. However, I know our world needs redemption, so we keep waiting for the Lord.
