12/26/2023 – To soldiers: What do you wish for this Christmas?

Today’s picture – a soldier at the Christmas table in a snowy field. With this series of photos, the author wanted to remind us that Ukrainian defenders dream of returning home and celebrating Christmas with their families.

From Ira Kapitonova in Kyiv (Day 670):

Let them be put to shame and confusion
who seek my life!
Let them be turned back and brought to dishonor
who delight in my hurt!
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭70:2‬ ‭

What do you wish for this Christmas? The reporters asked the same question the soldiers at the frontline, and here’s what they said:
— For the whole world to forget about the existence of Russia and isolate itself from it.
— For a quick victory.
— For a happy future for Ukraine and our children
— For God to protect all Ukrainians.
— For our captives to return home.
— For a return of all Ukrainian children.
— For peace and prosperity in our country.

May the Lord hear these wishes!

‭‭May all who seek you
rejoice and be glad in you!
May those who love your salvation
say evermore, “God is great!”
Psalm‬ ‭70:4‬ ‭
