Going to bed on Friday, most of us are looking forward to sleeping in and having a slow day on Saturday. However, we don’t know how likely that might be — monitoring channels reported 11 strategic bombers taking off in Russia with a possible launch of about 60 missiles around 5:30 a.m. Russia has received more rockets from Iran and North Korea, so why not use them? We don’t know if there will be an attack, but our peaceful sleep has already been tampered with. At least our son is already sleeping in the hallway.
The past few weeks have been rather depressing when reading various predictions for 2024. Today, we received some encouraging news — the United Kingdom announced the largest single package of defense support to Ukraine since the full-scale war began, worth £2.5 billion. This will cover anti-tank weapons, missiles, new artillery shells, and training for Ukrainian military personnel. An important security agreement was also signed between Ukraine and the UK. We don’t know how effective it might be, but it did encourage us.
I know that the UK isn’t the only one providing military aid to Ukraine, but we see that it’s getting harder and harder, so we greatly appreciate everything that’s done to support Ukraine.
