2/1/2024 – Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress…

Today’s picture — one of the released POWs. Photo shared by Volodymyr Zelenskyi and the Office of the President of Ukraine.

From: Ira Kapitonova (Day 707):

‭‭Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble,
and he delivered them from their distress.
He led them by a straight way till they reached a city to dwell in.
Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love,
for his wondrous works to the children of man!
Psalm‬ ‭107:6‭-‬8‬

Today, 207 Ukrainian POWs returned home from the Russian captivity. Many of them took part in Mariupol’s defense, which means they spent about 20 months as prisoners, enduring inhumane treatment and being isolated from the world.

Please, pray for the families of the released POWs — may they have the patience and strength to help their loved ones through the healing.
Pray for those still in captivity — may they be able to find God’s hope every day.
Pray for the families that have no information about their loved ones — may God’s miracle and His mercy bring everyone home.
