2/24/2024 – “But God will never forget the needy; the hope of the afflicted will never perish”

From: Maia Mikhaluk in Kyiv (730th day): On the eve of the second anniversary of ruzzian invasion we can’t help wondering if ruzzians will do another massive missile strike during the coming night. The drone attacks have been ongoing, almost daily, but massive missile strikes tend to be every few weeks. It would be very ruzzian to “celebrate” 2 years of invasion with another massive terrorist attack on sleeping Ukrainian cities. There is news that Iran has provided 400 long range missiles to ruzzia. Ruzzians also continue to produce their own missiles despite the sanctions. Western components are found inside of the missiles because some Western companies still find ways to do business with ruzzia. Of course, some Western politicians would love to lift the sanctions and just do business as usual with ruzzia even if that business helps to murder thousands of people.

Meanwhile, there is also some good news! Over the past 7 days, Ukraine has shot down 7 ruzzian military planes and today one more plane was added to that number! This plane is A-50. It’s an aircraft that provides several critical functions for the ongoing war, such as detecting air defense systems, guided missiles, and coordinating targets for ruzzian fighter jets. Ruzzia only possesses nine of these planes. The A-50 shot down today is the second plane like that since the beginning of the year!

I wrote this in my FB post 2 years ago and the words are as relevant today as they were a few hours before the first ruzzian missiles hit Kyiv on Feb 24, 2022:
In the face of Russian aggression against Ukraine, we continue to pray for God’s protection and justice.
Psalm 9: “The nations have fallen into the pit they have dug; their feet are caught in the net they have hidden.
The Lord is known by his acts of justice; the wicked are ensnared by the work of their hands.
The wicked go down to the realm of the dead, all the nations that forget God. But God will never forget the needy; the hope of the afflicted will never perish”
