This happens to be the verse we were discussing with my students this morning. And tonight, my whole being longs to rejoice and praise God and not think about this war, yet the war has seeped deep into our lives. So, I do my best to thank God in all circumstances.
Today, I thank God that we could finish our Science lesson before the air raid. Lately, it feels like every time we had an air raid during a school day, it happened right as we were starting our Science lesson. I was joking with my husband tonight that since most of the time, this specific mid-day air raid is related to jet fighter pilot training, either someone was late for the class or someone didn’t do their homework, which allowed us to finish our lesson before they started theirs. We laughed, but then my husband pointed out how insane it is that we can laugh about someone having genocidal training, practicing a skill that will be used to kill Ukrainians…
