From: Ira Kapitonova (Day 741):
Let the wicked fall into their own nets,
while I pass by safely.
Psalm 141:10
While we were sleeping, the special unit of Ukraine’s intelligence services attacked the Russian patrol ship of the Black Sea Fleet “Sergei Kotov” with naval drones in the territorial waters of Ukraine, near the Kerch Strait.
The cost of the sunken ship is about 65 million dollars, and it was one of four patrol ships of a special Russian Navy Project. It was previously attacked by Ukraine in September last year, but it was restored. Now, they say, it is on the seabed along with a helicopter that was on board.
It was the fourth Russian ship destroyed by the Ukrainian forces since the beginning of December.
We praise you, Lord, for your mighty hand shows that You are above the circumstances.
Ukrainian fleet has been pretty much nonexistent since 2014, yet with God’s help, our forces have been able to destroy 26 ships and one submarine — not something anyone could predict or explain.
It reminded me of the early stages of this hybrid war when Russia occupied Crimea. Some Ukrainian ships, along with “The Cherkasy” minesweeper, were trapped in Lake Donuzlav. One by one, our ships began to surrender to the Russians – out of fear or because of traitors. However, this little minesweeper chose to resist. This story was made into a movie, “U311 (Cherkasy),” and you can look it up (it should be available through Amazon Prime) if you are up to a challenging yet honest story.
