From: Maia Mikhaluk (748th day) – A thousand air raids have sounded in Kyiv since the beginning of the full-scale ruzzian invasion. Their total duration reaches 1165 hours and 26 minutes. This is more than 48 days of continuous anxiety. If all those hours are put into one stretch of time it’s more than a month and a half of people’s lives was spent in bomb shelters.

In this post there are photos taken in Ukraine over the past 748 days by different photographers showing people spending nights in subway stations that serve as bomb shelters or in the basements of their buildings, school kids studying in bomb shelters during the air raids, women with their newborns trying to get comfortable on the floors of maternity hospitals’ basements.

Ruzzian missiles and drones continue hitting residential buildings. Today a 9-storied building in Kryvyi Rig was hit. People were killed and injured, and a rescue operation is ongoing. After 748 days of air raids, most people don’t rush to bomb shelters anymore when sirens wail, especially at night. Air raids cause anger, not fear, but ignoring them doesn’t make our lives safer. Every air raid lets us know that deadly missiles or drones are on their way to take lives.
