From: Ira Kapitonova (Day 755):
Give ear to my words, O Lord;
consider my groaning.
Give attention to the sound of my cry,
my King and my God, for to you do I pray.
Psalm 5:1-2
This is an important day for me. My book “Tulips and Ashes” is officially released!
Who could have thought this would become possible while the war is raging? It is a marvelous testimony that God works all things together for good.
It will take me a while to process and let it sink in, but I am humbled by this opportunity to have a voice and share the truth about our reality.
My husband pointed out that it seems providential that the book comes out now when the world seems “tired” of Ukraine and would rather forget about this exhausting “conflict.” That’s why I hope and pray that the memories of the first year of the full-scale war shared in the book would help us all remember what this war is about, would help us have tender and compassionate hearts, and perhaps would even stir up some meaningful and life-changing conversations.
Thank you, Envision Berlin, for making it happen.
To God be the glory!
