3/23/2024 – My only comfort comes from knowing that one day, the murderers and terrorists and everyone who supported them will be held responsible by the ultimate Just Judge…

Today’s picture is an illustration by Nikita Titov (I couldn’t make myself post yet another picture of destruction and devastation).

From: Ira Kapitonova (Day 758):

“The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,
“therefore I will hope in him.”
Lamentations 3:24

Pain… Nauseating pain… Paralyzing pain… With every report of explosions, my heart was squeezing tighter and tighter. Even though it was quiet in Kyiv last night, I barely slept at all.

It was the largest aerial attack since the beginning of the full-scale invasion and the most intense for our energy system. They launched 151 units (kamikaze drones, cruise and ballistic missiles), and our air-defense forces shot down 92 of them.

Kharkiv was left without electricity for most of the day. They tried to destroy every piece of the energy infrastructure in the city. Lots of explosions and spotty electricity and water supply in Dnipro. They hit the largest hydropower station in Ukraine — DniproHES in Zaporizhzhia. One part is most likely damaged beyond repair. They caused damage in almost every region of Ukraine.

So today, I feel pain and anger. I feel furious. How long will they keep destroying our cities and our people?
I saw someone share a conversation they had with their child: “What have we done to deserve it?” — “It’s not because of us, sweetheart. It’s because of them.”
My only comfort comes from knowing that one day, the murderers and terrorists and everyone who supported them (vocally or silently, whether by action or inactivity) will be held responsible by the ultimate Just Judge.

“You will repay them, O Lord,
according to the work of their hands.
You will give them dullness of heart;
your curse will be on them.
You will pursue them in anger and destroy them
from under your heavens, O Lord.”
