When we bring humanitarian aid to people who suffered from ruzzian occupation it’s not only physical help they appreciate but an assurance that they are not alone, that others care about them, that God didn’t abandon them. We hear again and again the stories that during occupation invaders tried to demoralize people by telling that the whole Ukraine is already conquered or that Ukraine is agreeing to give up occupied territories, that nobody cares about those living under occupation. The sense of hopelessness becomes overwhelming when people began to believe they are abandoned to face the evil on their own.
As we were listening to those stories of discouragement, despair, hopelessness it struck me that Ruzzian propaganda is pushing narrative both in Ukraine and in the West that the West is tired of helping Ukraine, people in the West are tired of hearing about the horrors of the war, too tired to care anymore. The fact that politicians’ games are stalling military aid to Ukraine seems to prove that. But on the other hand, from our personal experience we know that there are plenty of people outside of Ukraine who still care and who want to help.

When we make these humanitarian aid trips you get to see in the pictures how the relief travels to the people in need the last 600 kilometers of the its journey, you see a few volunteers who give out food packages, gardening tools, seeds for planting, detergent and other hygiene supplies. We can also show you how our churches pack those supplies and food and how it gets loaded into our vans. But what you don’t get to see is how much further this help had to travel. We have a church in Australia that continues faithfully to help with our relief work, there are individuals in Europe who get prompted by the Holy Spirit to send funds just in time for the upcoming trip, we partner in our efforts with international organizations like The World Orphan Fund, Samaritan’s Purse, OMS, we also have many people and churches in the States who don’t cease praying and supporting our efforts. We know we are not alone! We are grateful to all our friends who continue to care and help! You were with our volunteers from Uman and Kyiv churches on this latest trip to the Kherson region through your prayers and support.
Matthew 25:44-45: ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’
“He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’
