From: Jim Richter – Ukraine is considered to be an Orthodox Christian country. The results of a survey in 2022 by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology showed that 72% of the population are Orthodox Christian, 9% are Catholic Christian, and just 2% are Protestant Christian. A further 10% identified themselves as atheists.
But Russia believes that Protestant Christians are a cult and a product of American infiltration (Christians would maybe call this ‘Mission’) and have completely banned those churches in all of Russian occupied Ukraine. Their brutal crackdown on Pastors, Christians and Churches is well documented in this just-released short video by respected PBS correspondent Simon Ostrovsky:
In this video, Steven Moore, who founded the non-profit Ukraine Freedom Project, says that 29 Christian leaders have been murdered in Ukraine by Russians in occupied territory.
Step by step, village by village, Russia is now advancing in Eastern Ukraine, very slowly, but still advancing westwards. They bring with them a wave of darkness, persecution and evil. Ukrainians are doing their very best to physically stop them, with the limited resources they have.
