The European Commission disbursed a second tranche of macro-financial assistance to Ukraine worth 1.5 billion euros ($1.6 billion) under the Ukraine Facility program, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen reported on X on April 24.

From: New Voice of Ukraine 🇺🇦 “Ukraine is carrying a heavy burden on its shoulders for all of us. Today, we disburse an additional €1.5 billion, under the €50 billion Ukraine Facility,” she said.
This is vital to support the functioning of the state and services in Ukraine while “it fights back the aggressor,” said the official.
“Europe remains united and resolute,” von der Leyen stated.
EU assistance to Ukraine
EU diplomacy chief Josep Borrell said on March 20 that the European Commission had provided Ukraine with the first tranche of aid worth 4.5 billion euros ($4.8 billion) under the Ukraine Facility program.
