‭O God, be not far from me;
O my God, make haste to help me!
May my accusers be put to shame and consumed;
with scorn and disgrace may they be covered who seek my hurt.
Psalm 71:12-13

Russia keeps destroying Kharkiv. The air raid there lasted for more than 14 hours today. Two deliberate attacks on civil infrastructure. Bombing a home improvement hypermarket on Saturday when it’s full of visitors, people who came to buy supplies to fix their homes after previous missile strikes. And a missile strike on a park in the downtown area. No military objects nearby. It’s just bloodthirsty cruelty. Six people died, 16 (staff and visitors of the hypermarket) are considered missing, and over 40 were hospitalized. What is this if not a terrorist attack? And if it is, why wouldn’t Russia be recognized as a terrorist state? Yet they are shameless in their wickedness.

As I am writing this, air raids are spreading across Ukraine. There are several drone groups in different parts of the country. It’s also been reported that Russian strategic aviation launched missiles that will enter Ukraine’s airspace in about an hour. We know that our air-defense forces can perform miracles with the help of the Lord, but it’s hard for me to go to bed (even though it’s way past midnight here), knowing that those rockets are coming to bring more death and destruction to Ukraine.
We need more air defense systems, more decisiveness from world leaders, and, above all, God’s mercy and His miracle.

‭And my tongue will talk of your righteous help all the day long,
for they have been put to shame and disappointed who sought to do me hurt.
Psalm 71:24
