From: New Voice of Ukraine 🇺🇦 Russia is planning to launch new offensives, opening a new front in Ukraine’s north, Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov said on May 28.
In an interview with Reuters, Umerov stated that the Kremlin is preparing for a new push in Ukraine.
“Their goal is to open a new front in the north to begin using all their manpower and firepower against us,” the minister said.
“They continue to pursue their objective of destroying our nation.”
At the same time, Umerov added that the most recent front in northeastern Kharkiv Oblast has been stabilized, after Russia launched a cross-border offensive there on May 10.
“We are holding out, but of course, we need more weapons, more firepower, and long-range missiles to prevent them from entering our country [elsewhere],” he said.
