Every single day during the past three weeks ruzzians are shelling, bombing and attacking Kharkiv (the second largest city in Ukraine) and Kharkiv region. The photos in this post are from today’s attack when one of multi-stories residential buildings was hit. Often ruzzians can succeed in their destructive missions even without crossing the border – due to the closeness of Kharkiv to ruzzia. Our ability to protect Kharkiv region was limited by lack of anti-missile defense and the ban western partners made on our use of western weapons to strike military targets in ruzzia. Ruzzia has been exploiting this ban and mounting constant attacks from a safe haven just inside the ruzzian border. After many months of negotiations, it seems that our Western partners are willing to untie our hands and allow us to protect ourselves.
The New York Times wrote: “President Biden, in a major shift pressed by his advisers and key allies, has authorized Ukraine to conduct limited strikes inside Russia with American-made weapons, opening what could well be a new chapter in the war for Ukraine, U.S. officials said on Thursday.
The decision follows weeks of intense behind-the-scenes conversation with the Ukrainians, made more urgent after Russia began a major assault on Kharkiv around May 10.
Some American allies had already gone further. Britain weeks ago allowed Ukraine to use its Storm Shadow long-range missile systems for attacks anywhere in Russia, and France and Germany recently took the same position. So did Jens Stoltenberg, the secretary general of NATO.”
