From: Euromaiden Press — Ukraine’s military has destroyed an estimated $98.7 billion worth of Russian equipment since the full-scale invasion began in February 2022, despite having an arsenal valued at only $54.4 billion, our estimates show.
This feat is even more impressive considering that $38.5 billion of Ukraine’s equipment came from its own pre-invasion stocks, while $14.9 billion was provided by partners.
However, the $300 billion in frozen Russian assets held by Western banks could dramatically bolster Ukraine’s defense capabilities. If directed towards Ukraine’s military, these funds would not only help replace equipment losses but also provide a decisive advantage on the battlefield, potentially leading to a swifter victory against the invading forces.
