From: Voice of Ukraine πΊπ¦ Seoul will not be deterred from providing lethal weapons to Ukraine if Russia transfers precision weapons to North Korea, South Korean news agency Yonhap reported on June 23, citing National Security Advisor Chang Ho-jin.
“I would like to emphasize that it all depends on what Russia will do,” he said.
“Will there be any line remaining for us if Russia gives precision weapons to North Korea?”
He also stressed that efforts should be made by both Seoul and Moscow to βrestore and move Korea-Russia relations forward,β and urged “the Russian side to think carefully.”
This follows an earlier report by Yonhap on June 21 about South Korea’s possible supply of air defense systems and 155mm artillery shells to Ukraine.
βThere are various options for providing weapons, and our position on the recent events between Russia and North Korea depends on how Russia will respond to the situation in the future,β a South Korean official said.
