Today, Russia bombed the town of Derhachi in the Kharkiv region. They ruined about 50 households and traumatized at least a dozen people.
Even though we know that ruination is one of the Russian traits, it’s always hard for me to realize how deep their destruction goes. For example, Russia destroyed the Ancient City of Tauric Chersonese to build an open-air theatre. Artifacts, including frescoes and household items, have been moved to Russian museums. Don’t tell me they mean well or don’t understand what they are doing. They have basically raided a unique historical monument, founded in the 5th century BC as a colonial settlement of Greeks.
However they try to erase the history, they are the ones whose names will be blotted out forever.
