I have long since stopped checking the losses of the Russian army. At first, we were hoping that their losses would make them stop and reconsider. Unfortunately, they’d rather drown in blood than stop this war.
A recent NY Times article said that Russia was losing an average of more than 1,000 of its soldiers (injured or killed) each day. These numbers come from the U.S., British, and other Western intelligence agencies and coincide with Ukraine’s records. However, every month, Russia recruits 25,000 to 30,000 new soldiers — roughly as many as they lose on the battlefield, so they keep sending wave after wave of troops into the meat grinder.
Meanwhile, the US, Israel, and Ukraine are negotiating on providing Ukraine with up to eight Patriot air defense systems. The terms are not clear, and the outcome is unknown yet. Please pray for these negotiations. This could triple the existing number of Patriot systems and would be an immense aid for Ukraine.
