As part of its ammunition supply initiative, Czechia will send Ukraine 500,000 shells by the end of the year, President Petr Pavel said during a meeting with energy companies in the United States, news agency ÄŒTK reported on July 13.
50,000 shells are set to arrive in Ukraine in July and August, with monthly deliveries increasing to 80,000-100,000 starting in September.
“The goal is to deliver 500,000 units of ammunition to Ukraine this year,” the Czech leader said.
The first batch of shells under the Czech initiative arrived in Ukraine at the end of June, as previously reported by Czech Defense Minister Jana Černochová.
