For the first time in 40 years since the time of the USSR, the Olympics will not be broadcast in ruzzia. The last time the Olympic Games were not broadcast was 40 years ago, when the USSR boycotted the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles.
Ruzzians will also not participate in the Opening Ceremony of the Olympics. Unfortunately, ruzzian athletes will have a chance to compete under a white flag. All this while so many Ukrainian athletes are being killed on front lines or under ruzzian occupation.
It would be good if all civilized world turned away from doing business with the terrorist state. But of course, in a world where money and business take priority over international law and morals, that would be too much to ask. It is still mind-blowing that ruzzia is presiding over the Security Council of the UN this month. They should be thrown out of the UN, out of other international organizations, and out of the Olympics. Doing business as usual with ruzzians is what is literally fueling ruzzian aggression.
