7/20/2024 — I dream of a day when my country will be able to heal and will once again share its lavish beauty with numerous visitors…

Those who sow in tears
shall reap with shouts of joy!
He who goes out weeping,
bearing the seed for sowing,
shall come home with shouts of joy,
bringing his sheaves with him.
Psalm 126:5-6

We are blessed that Ukraine is a large country with many beautiful and unique places. In winter, many people would go to the Carpathians to enjoy skiing and snowy mountain peaks. In summer, our thoughts would most often be with the south of Ukraine — the breathtaking Crimean peninsula, the delicious watermelons of the Kherson region, the less traveled beaches of the Black or Azov Sea…

This war and the decade of occupation of Crimea cannot change the old habits, but our hearts are always with the tormented southern regions of Ukraine, not just in summer.
Yesterday, on July 18, Russian troops shelled the Center district of Kherson. Three people were injured, including a 16-year-old girl who sustained severe injuries. Doctors are fighting for her life.

I dream of a day when my country will be able to heal and will once again share its lavish beauty with numerous visitors.
