People in Ukraine are following news about elections in the USA as closely as we follow our own news since the results of US elections will most likely significantly impact the outcome of the ruzzo-Ukrainian war.
The year 2024 is notable for the large number of elections being held worldwide: at least 97 countries, home to nearly half of the global population, will vote. Elections in most countries probably have consequences only for that country’s people, but American elections send ripples across the world. While people in the States will probably be making their choice based on what the candidate promises to do for them domestically, it’s the international policies that will make the long-term and broader impact not only on other countries but on the role the USA will play in the world in the future. Isolationism will make that role weaker and the world less safe.
I only have to open my Facebook newsfeed to see how polarized our friends in the States are about upcoming elections. This post is not an invitation to debate who is a better candidate. I just want to say that we are praying hard for elections in the States.

Thank you for your prayers. We need them.
