Traditionally celebrated on the third Sunday of June, Medical Workers’ Day in Ukraine will now be celebrated on a new date starting in 2024, as per a recent presidential decree.
Medical Workers’ Day will be celebrated on July 27 starting 2024. This change follows a decree signed by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on June 13, 2023.
This holiday honors not only doctors, paramedics, nurses, and medical technicians, but also medical engineers, biologists, chemists, lab technicians, and other healthcare specialists.
The day is dedicated to recognizing the vital role healthcare workers play in safeguarding the health and lives of people, society, and nation.
