
From: New Voice of Ukraine πΊπ¦ Doctors without prior military training can now be awarded the rank of primary officer, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced at the International Congress of Military Medicine and Mental Health on July 27, Medical Workers’ Day.
βI have signed a decree – a regulation on military service, which regulates the service of persons with medical education and the granting of the rank of primary officer to doctors who have not passed the military department,” Zelenskyy said.
Additionally, Zelenskyy instructed the government to finance and establish a modern rehabilitation hospital with a module for reintegrating soldiers released from Russian captivity and stabilization centers for continuous medical care in combat zones.
The president emphasized the need to create a medical system capable of meeting today’s challenges, focusing on those returning from captivity and the efficient use of resources. He highlighted the importance of providing high-quality medical equipment for mobile hospitals, including first aid kits and tourniquets.
