From: New Voice of Ukraine 🇺🇦 U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine’s Economic Recovery Penny Pritzker outlined a plan with five key conditions for ensuring the success of Ukraine’s recovery, Voice of Americareported on Aug. 3.
Pritzker pointed on the need for urgent governmental planning for the reconstruction of Ukraine as a unified project. In her opinion, the lack of coordination between different departments is hampering reconstruction process, the official said during the final conference at the Brookings Institution in Washington, DC.
Her plan looks like this:
- Uninted planning of Ukraine’s reconstruction
- Rapid increase in the number of ready-made projects
- Anti-corruption reforms
- International investment in Ukraine
- Return of Ukrainians from abroad
As a recent example, Pritzker cited restoration of Ukraine’s energy system after Russian strikes – in this process, without clear priorities, it is extremely difficult to coordinate efforts of states willing to assist Kyiv.
