From: New Voice of Ukraine πΊπ¦ Ukrainian artist Alex Alekseev is creating a series of posters featuring classical sculptures reimagined as Ukrainian defenders injured in battle.
Alekseev was born in Russia but completed his schooling and university studies in Kyiv. He began his artistic career shortly after, moving to Vienna in 1990 to become a freelance artist.
Alekseevβs series, titled War in Ukraine, reinterprets classical sculptures by incorporating elements that have become all too familiar to Ukrainians since the start of the full-scale invasion: prosthetics, drones, land mines, and more.
