8/7/2024 — Oh, how I wish I could take in the beauty of God’s creation and meditate on His wondrous works…

From: Ira Kapitonova in Kyiv (Day 895)

On the glorious splendor of your majesty,
and on your wondrous works,
I will meditate.
Psalm 145:4-5

As the new school year approaches, I find myself busy with thoughts about my future students or classroom management techniques. I try to use my time well and finish my many summer projects. It all sounds good and reasonable, yet if I am completely honest, I might admit that it’s much easier to occupy yourself with things at hand rather than focus on the news and the continued creeping destruction of my land.

Oh, how I wish I could take in the beauty of God’s creation and meditate on His wondrous works. That’s part of my dreams for “after the victory.”

One response to “8/7/2024 — Oh, how I wish I could take in the beauty of God’s creation and meditate on His wondrous works…”

  1. Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
