From: New Voice of Ukraine 🇺🇦 Ukraine and various international locations will host the 11th annual Vyshyvanka Run on Aug. 25, held in honor of Ukraine’s Independence Day.
Vyshyvanka is a traditional Ukrainian embroidered shirt.
Participants can choose from distances of 5, 10, and 21.1 kilometers.
This yearly event, held in honor of Ukraine’s Independence Day, spans multiple cities and countries, drawing participants who proudly wear vyshyvankas as they run.
The event will take place in Kyiv.
“Imagine a run at Kyiv’s Park and New York’s Central Park happening almost simultaneously, celebrating Ukraine’s Independence Day,” Illya Kenigshtein, CEO and founder of Creative States, one of the event’s co-organizers, said.
“The sense of unity is more crucial now than ever.”
