8/16/2024 — I saw life freeze today, yet thankfully, our hearts were not frozen…

From: Ira Kapitonova in Kyiv (Day 904 – missed day 903)

Salvation belongs to the Lord;
your blessing be on your people!
Psalm 3:8

I saw life freeze today. The cars, the people, it seemed that even the air stood still. All were seeing off a fallen soldier.

We were going to have a teambuilding activity with our staff when someone told us the funeral procession would go down the road next to us. We went into the street to kneel and honor someone we didn’t know but someone who gave his life so that we could continue ours.

Approaching the funeral procession, the cars would stop, and people would get out and kneel. I saw an elderly woman doing just that, even though you could see she had trouble getting out of the car.

I saw life freeze for us for just a few minutes, but for that young man, it froze forever. All for the bloodthirsty ambitions of one country with a brainwashed population.

I saw life freeze today, yet thankfully, our hearts were not frozen. They were passionately beating and painfully weeping for someone we didn’t know yet felt close to. And that’s how we know the enemy will not prevail.
