From: Kyiv Post—The sabre of Ukrainian fencer and Olympic champion Olha Kharlan was sold for 10 million UAH (~$243,000) at a charity auction to help Ukrainian defenders
With this sabre, Kharlan delivered the decisive strike during a match at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, which brought gold to the Ukrainian team.
All the funds raised will go toward purchasing automated turrets for the Ukrainian infantry.
