From: New Voice of Ukraine 🇺🇦 Czech President Petr Pavel believes Ukraine’s NATO membership should not be contingent on reclaiming full control over its entire territory.
He expressed this position during a joint interview with Czech publications Novinky and Pravo on Aug. 19.
Pavel argued that Ukraine’s full territorial control is not a “mandatory condition” for NATO membership.
“If there is a demarcation, even if it’s an administrative boundary, we can accept this administrative boundary as temporary and admit Ukraine into NATO on the territory it controls at that moment,” he explained.
