From: Pastor Heero Hacquebord in L’viv—Our L’viv church-planting team recently launched the fourth iteration of Crates for Ukraine. We want to provide the kind of humanitarian aid that is most essential and lacking in Ukraine at this time. Therefore we are focusing mostly on some very specific wound care items that provide emergency, life-saving care for injured soldiers and civilians. These are all items that are not readily available in Ukraine, especially not at the quality and quantity that one can easily get in the U.S. There are three ways that you, your family, small group, company or church can contribute:
- Donate (this is the preferred option; we will buy, pack & ship the aid)
- Click & Ship (buy items off our Amazon wish list, we pack it for you)
- “Self-Pack” crates (Please see our FAQ question “Can I pack my own crate?” for details. You must contact us before packing.) (Note that our process, packing list and instructions have changed from previous CFU iterations.)
Crates for Ukraine (CFU) has been a hugely encouraging and effective way for our church here in L’viv — along with you — to serve those in need at, near or even behind the front lines of this devastating war. We are still in touch with many grateful people who have received CFU aid in the past, and have developed close relationships with particular volunteers, medics and others through whom we distribute the aid. Much of the aid is sent to and distributed by churches that are closer to the front lines. Every box we send out has our church’s and our publishing house’s contact and website information on it, including a verse from the Bible. Though we cannot personally make contact with everyone receiving the aid, people know that this unusually high quality aid is coming to them — and saving lives — in the Name of Jesus Christ! Please consider joining us again this fall as our L’viv church seeks to show the love of Christ in a very tangible way! Our prayer is to pack and fund 400 crates prior to the end of 2024. Please see the Crates for Ukraine website for complete information.
